Itinerary

 

 

 

Day 1 –

 

Flight from JFK to Khartoum. Check into Hotel. Group Orientation and Introduction (Meet and Greet).

 

Day 2 –(First day of Tour)

 

Visit Sudan National Museum. Enjoy Nile cruise to see the confluence of the two Niles, drive to Omdurman, the traditional town to visit the tomb of Khalfa’s, the Islamic leader of the Sudan who fought in 1885 against General Gordon and English colonization. After lunch in the

restaurant near the Nile, , drive to Hamd el Nile Tombto see the Dervich. Overnight in the Hotel .

 

Day 3 –

 

After breakfast, drive at 10:00 am from Khartoum to Old Dongola site, around 380 km north of khartoum –asphalt road), here we visit, the Granit Church, Old palace and Monastery, over night in the desert in the wild mobile tented camp.

 

Day 4 –

 

After breakfast, drive 09 :00 am to visit Kerma, the first Nubian Kushite King Dom( 2500 B.C), we will visit the Deffoufa , the mud brick temples , visitKerma Museum at the site, after lunch, you will enjoy sailing by traditional Nubian boat to visit Artgasha Island, drive back to Dongola town , over night in the hotel

 

Day 5 –

 

After breakfast, drive south to ancient town of Karima the small town lies at the foot of Jebal Barkal , cross the Byouda Desert, lunch , take break in tourist resort. At 03:30 pm visit Jebel Barkal and Amoon Temple (UNESCO heritage sites),, climb Jebal Barkal for panoramic view of the town, dinner and, Over night in the Resort

 

Day 6 –

 

After breakfast , drive to visit the Royal cemetery of kurru, visit the town market of Kariam, lunch , drive visit pyramids of Nuri, go back to the hotel, dinner at 08:00 pm and enjoy the traditional music of the region, Over night in the Resort.

 

Day 7 –

 

After breakfast , drive crossing Byouda Desert(262km –asphalt road ) to visit pyramids of Meroe (UNESCO heritage sites),visit the site e and enjoy barbeque dinner, over night in wild tented mobile camp.

 

Day 8 –

 

Drive from at 09:00 am , to visit Nagaa( 30 km off road ), here you will see Amoon Temple .Lion Temple, Hathor chapel belong Meroe kingdom 350 B.C -350A.D Drive to Musswarat Elsofra) our visit Great Enclosure and Lion Temple, drive back to Khartoum,rest in the hotel , dinner at 08 :00 pm, transfer to the air port for you flight back.

 

Day 9 –
